Party time. Dinner with all our favorite people!
We’re working to make sure this is one of the most fun receptions you have ever been to!
After it’s said and done join us at the bar for a quick post ceremony cocktail hour while the finishing touches on the reception are done.
After the sun sets, you’ll make your way over to your seat for the wedding ceremony to listen to us talk for a little bit. We are planning to do this after the sun goes down so you don’t melt, or worse, get shiny from the heat and humidity. The ceremony will be short, but incredibly sweet.
It’s almost time! After you get all cute and ready–come down to the lawn for sunset cocktails before the wedding ceremony. We wouldn’t want you to be thirsty during the ceremony.
After you get settled into your bungalow, freshen up and come on down to the beach for a BBQ dinner and cocktails to welcome you to Phuket! This will also be a great time for everyone to meet each other. Many of you already know each other, but also many of you don’t so it this would be the perfect time to connect.
We’re 80’s kids who grew up in the 90s and early 2000s – and if you didn’t know, that era is making a huge comeback. That' said, we will be throwing an Old School (lightly) themed backyard BBQ on the beach featuring the music of that era. You’ll see photos of us, and probably you from our youth as well as enjoy some great food and company.
There will be a program of sorts that starts after the sun goes down, for all you jet-lagged people, don’t fall asleep, you won’t want to miss it.
If you’re wondering what to wear, just be comfortable, and also cute. We love overalls. We have a big team of photographers and videographers documenting all the fun so be ready for a snapshot here and there.
Enjoy Happy Hour at The Beach Bar 6-7pm. Buy one drink and get the second one free! No host. The hotel will have a separate lounge set up for wedding guests.
For those who are in Bangkok, today will be your travel day to the wedding venue in Phuket. Flights are incredibly reasonable to Phuket from Bangkok and any of the airlines will get you there just fine. Just make sure to keep an eye out for the baggage fees on some of the budget airlines. That’s where they get ya.
Anthony and Richard will be traveling to Phuket on Thai Airways Flight 201 that departs BKK at 7:45 AM. and arrives at HKT at 9:10 AM. You do not need to leave this early, check in at the resort is not until 3:00 PM so please take your time getting there and sleep in a little if you can.
After arriving at Phuket International Airport you will transit to The Surin Phuket Resort where your bungalow will be ready for check-in (at 3:00 PM).
Take a break and relax until dinner time on the beach.
After dinner, we will go out on the town one last time before we head to Phuket the following day. It’ll be halloween night so we plan on doing something fun in one of the party districts, and if you’re not too tired, we would love you to join.
We’re still working on a venue but we are aiming towards a theme of tropical couture. We will keep you posted on this!
For those of you joining us in Bangkok on October 31. please join us for a welcome reception dinner. Dinner will begin at 7:00pm at Soul Food Mahanakorn.
The attire for this event will be, fun tropical attire in the brightest colors you have. Don’t think about it too hard, just have fun with it. Keep in mind that it is also Halloween and if you are up for it, we will be going out afterward for a drink or two.
Most of you will be coming from the United States. Please keep in mind that it takes about 24 hours to get to Thailand. There is also at least a 14 hour time difference. It is a journey. If you can, we suggest that you leave by the October 29, 2019 to get to the region in time with at least a day to recover from jet lag.
Many of you have already purchased tickets and will be adding another country or city while you are on that side of the world.
Richard will arrive in Bangkok on Wednesday, October 23. Anthony will arrive in Bangkok on Saturday, October 26. We will both arrive in Phuket on Friday, November 1 in the morning.
